A poster of the Colour Patches of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.

  • Note that in many cases the Light Horse, which was Mounted Infantry (NOT CAVALRY), was used as infantry and served, dismounted, with one or the other of the Divisions, particularly at Gallipoli. 

  • Only later did they serve totally independently and mounted.
