The Artillery star was worn above the 4 upturned chevrons to mark a Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant of the Field Artillery c.1908 or above the gun (see right) and 3 chevrons of a Quartermaster Sergeant of the Field Artillery. c.1910	Artillery Sergeant rank badge, worn above 3 chevrons by all artillery as per Victorian Dress Regulations 1893. Gold on blue. With star above indicates Quartermaster Sergeant.
