Shoulder Flashes of Australian Units, worn on Battle Dress uniform

  • In 1962 the border on Shoulder flashes was dropped and a new set of titles was issued. 

 

  • At the same time the shoulder flash for summer uniform was done away with.

(Worn at the top of the sleeve on both arms for Battledress uniform only)

1 Recruit Training Battalion Ceased wearing titles in 1969 except on special ceremonial occasions

The RAN have not made much use of shoulder flashes. This is one of the few I have seen.

  • The RAAF shoulder flash is light blue embroidered lettering on dark blue with a very dark blue border.
