French Infantry: medals are Knight of the Legion of Honour, Military Medal, WW1 Croix de Guerre with 3 stars and 2 palms, WW1 Commemorative Medal; Victory Medal.

Artillery in grey Light blue (infantry?) with plate
with plate attached. Wording on plate is "Soldat de la Grand Guerre 1914/18 (Soldier of the Great War). This were issued to veterans as a sign of their service.

  • French Army Officer in 1919. Note the different method of wearing the medals. In the British Empire and or Commonwealth all medals are worn in 1 row. Not so in France.
