Note that on some buttons the Cross of St George was encircled by a Garter and on others it was encircled by a plain circle. Some believe this was a Garter without a buckle, others that it was not a Garter at all.


After 1903 all Victorian Units wore Commonwealth of Australia uniforms and accoutrements.
