Between war medals & Campaign Medals of World War 2

The Imperial Service Medal was awarded "For Faithful Service".

It is the medal (lower award) of the Imperial Service Order. For details of the Order

It was instituted in 1902 as a reward for long and faithful service as a civil servant. Over the years the conditions of award have changed.

It is shown here in obverse and reverse (with the presentation box) in the George VI version and (right) in the George V obverse.

There is also a E II R version but it is not shown here.
