Equipment used by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and Viet Cong (VC)

Webbing belt with pouch and water bottle taken from one of two Viet Cong killed in an ambush set by 'V' Company, 4 RAR/NZ as part of Operation 'Capital II' on 10 November, 1968.

NVA equipment

Hungarian built AKM rifle w/folding stock. NVA brown shirt, collar tabs denoting rank of sergeant. NVA dark green field trousers. Khaki sun helmet. NVA 3 pocket khaki rucksack. AK47 ammo chest pouch. NVA field shoes, plain toe. NVA grey/green rice bowl. NVA cigarettes (Thang Long) & cigarette lighter. Chinese machete.
