WW2 the Diggers faced three separate enemies.
In the Western Desert it was initially the Italians, who at that stage felt pretty good about their abilities. After all had they not beaten the Abyssinians who carried dangerous spears? Later it was the German Afrika Korps under Rommel that the Diggers had to deal with. Then they came home to fight the Japanese. |
