Viet Nam the helicopter war

Vung Tau, Vietnam. 1967.   Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) Jim Smith of Pascoe Vale, Vic (left), a member of 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), is presented with the badge of the 147th Assault Support Helicopter Company for being its 10,000th passenger.  

The patch is being presented by the company's Commanding Officer, Major Jack Moran of the United States Army.
